As winter approaches, we know that colder weather can bring an increase in illnesses such as flu, COVID-19, and seasonal infections. ÔÂɫֱ²¥ is here to help you and your loved ones stay well, get the right care when you need it, and support one another through the season. Together, we can keep Salisbury well this winter. Protect yourself, look out for others, and know where to go for the right care when you need it.
Protect yourself and othersWinter viruses spread more easily when we spend more time indoors. You can reduce your risk and help protect those around you by taking a few simple steps:
We are currently seeing an increase in flu and other respiratory illnesses in our community. To help reduce the spread of infection and keep everyone safe, we are recommending that all staff, patients and visitors wear a face mask or face covering in our admission areas, including our Emergency Department, Acute Medical Unit, Children’s Emergency & Assessment Areas, Surgical Assessment Unit and Maternity Assessment Area. Wearing a mask in these higher-risk, high-traffic areas helps protect vulnerable patients and reduces transmission at a time when respiratory illnesses are circulating more widely.
When you or someone you care for becomes unwell, knowing where to turn can help you get the best possible care quickly - and keep emergency services free for those who need them most. Not sure where to turn for help? Please explore the options below:
